About

I am devoted and driven to love of family, nature and photography from my home area of “Quinte” in southeastern, Ontario, Canada. When I am not out in the field, I assist the USGS Patuxent Wildlife Research Center in Maryland  (http://www.pwrc.usgs.gov/) in adding to their database … some of the six-million bird sighting cards that are now being scanned covering 1880-1970. This will help scientists determine the effects of climate changes, as well as weather on avian migratory and breeding patterns during that time period. Being a grandfather to 8, I firmly believe this small “free-time” contribution (that anyone can do), will ensure future generations, bird sightings for years and years to come.
